Bolt Action Rifles

Charles Lancaster has a history of building exquisite hand-made bolt action rifles. Today we specialise in making 'London Best' grade bolt action rifles on original Mauser '98 actions, available in a wide range of standard and non-standard calibers. BRNO actions may also be used if desired.
The rifles are entirely bespoke, with every detailed discussed with the buyer to ensure a totally unique firearm is built every time, precisely to the client's requirements. 

Double Rifles

For over a century and half, Charles Lancaster double rifles have been built on an entirely bespoke basis, designed and manufactured to client requirements.
Today, our rifles are predominantly sidelock actions built on the traditional Holland and Holland style Roger's cocking system. Specifications, including engraving, are built to the buyer's requests and come in a wide range of standard small bore and big game calibres.

Side-by-Side Shotguns

Historically, Charles Lancaster Gunmakers has used a number of different designs and actions for our shotguns. This has included famous models such as the back action and boxlock 'wrist-breakers' and the 'Twelve-Twenty'.
Today, our shotguns are hand-made 'Best' guns built on the famous and reliable Holland and Holland style assisted-opening action. All aspects are discussed with and specified by the buyer to ensure a completely customised bespoke shotgun.

Over & Under Shotguns

Lancaster over and under shotguns were a rare build back in the company's hey-day, but today this type of gun makes up a large part of our order book due to its increased popularity.
The over and under is built on the Purdey-Woodward style system, famous the world over for its beauty and reliability. As with the side-by-sides, these guns are entirely bespoke, customised and designed to the client's precise requirements and desired aesthetics.
