Description
A stunning and rare example of a new David Lloyd bolt action rifle, built on an original Mauser '98 action with Ronald Wharton (from Rigby's) new improved Model No.1 scope mounts, which hold a Swarovski Z6i 1.7-10 x 42 scope.
The barrel is screw cut for a sound moderator (moderator included), and has Maker's name and address engraved on top, with the serial number engraved in a banner on the trigger guard.
The hinged floor plate has a push button release catch and the rifle is fitted with a Model 70 three-position safety, complete with gold SAFE and arrow.
The well-figured walnut stock has an English cheekpiece and a Monte Carlo comb, and the forend is finished with a black buffalo horn tip. A metal pistol grip cap adorns the grip and a gold oval is included, ready for the buyer's initials or crest. The butt is finished with a Silvers recoil pad.
